Made from sustainable Alder wood, smooth on one side with the raw bark on the reverse, these wooden blocks have a simple feel that brings children closer to nature. Once you have finished playing these castle blocks can be stowed away in their own net bag. These wooden blocks come in an assortment of crenulations and straight edges to build up your battlements, plus an additional high tower, gate house and stairs for the ultimate castle build. This is a great open-ended set of blocks that can be added to other sets to create bigger structures for endless imaginative play. Each part is carefully sanded and finished with natural and non-toxic flaxseed oil for durability and playability, and the bark is left on for natural texture. Bark covered blocks are heat treated to fuse the bark to the wood, providing a strong and robust bond, but please bear in mind it is a natural product which may be affected by heat, moisture or wear.
